Lazio are said to have agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich youngster Jonathan Asp Jensen as they reshape their squad.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio have agreed personal terms with the 20-year-old attacking midfielder. He shares representatives with compatriots Gustav Isaksen and Oliver Provstgaard, a link sporting director Angelo Fabiani knows well, which could have eased talks.

The Dane developed in his homeland before joining Bayern in 2022. He featured for the club’s U17, U19 and second teams, and spent this season on loan at Grasshoppers, delivering nine goals and six assists in all competitions.

The Biancocelesti are also seeking to move on high earners such as Alessio Romagnoli and Ivan Provedel while targeting cost-efficient prospects, with Asp Jensen considered a leading option.

The next step is an accord with Bayern, who want a significant sell-on clause on any future resale. Lazio are wary of a repeat of the Mario Gila case, with Real Madrid’s 50% sell-on clause complicating plans to sell the defender this summer.

Whether the clubs can find a compromise remains to be seen.
