The Biancocelesti are currently undergoing a defensive overhaul. They have already agreed to sell Alessio Romagnoli to Al-Sadd, while Napoli, Atalanta, and potentially others are vying for Mario Gila. Lazio already have an internal solution to replace Romagnoli, as Oliver Provstgaard is set for a promotion. However, they will have to buy a new defender to replace Gila.

Lazio in Talks with Dinamo Zagreb for Sergi Dominguez

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the Spaniard’s successor could be his compatriot, Dominguez, as Lazio are currently negotiating a deal with Dinamo Zagreb. The 21-year-old would cost the Italian capital side €10 million plus bonuses at the very least.

The youngster is a youth product of Barcelona’s La Masia academy who left the nest last summer in search of a prominent role. Dominguez immediately became a key player at the Croatian capital club. He made 41 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists. His contributions helped Dinamo win the domestic double.

Pedulla also notes that Spurs are also following the young Spaniard. However, signing another centre-back is no longer a priority for Roberto De Zerbi’s club, especially after securing Marcos Senesi’s signature.

In addition to Dominguez, Lazio are also tracking unsettled Brighton centre-back Diego Coppola, who could welcome a return to the Italian peninsula.
