League A action continues with the Semifinals and Playoffs | OneFootball

MIAMI - The 2025 Concacaf Boy´s Under-15 Championship continues on Saturday with the Semifinals and Playoffs in League A at the FCRF Federation Fields in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

The top two teams from Groups A and B are set to play in the League A Semifinals. The remaining teams in the groups will have one additional match to determine their final position in the competition.

Semifinals

Mexico vs. Costa Rica

Mexico and Costa Rica will meet in the first Semifinal in League A.

Mexico enters the match after winning Group A with nine points and a 3-0-1 record. El Tricolor were the highest scoring team in the Group Stage with 17 goals, while only conceding three. Da’vian Kimbrough leads the team in goals so far with four in the tournament.

League A hosts Costa Rica placed second in Group B with six points from a 2-0-1 record. Los Ticos opened with a 1-nil win against Canada and a 2-1 victory against USA, followed by a loss against Saudi Arabia.

Panama vs. United States

Panama will take on reigning champions United States to determine the second finalist.

Panama finished in second place in Group A with nine points and a 3-0-1 record. Los Canaleros started off with a loss against Honduras, but bounced back with wins against El Salvador, Nicaragua and Mexico to advance to the Semifinals. Captain Alfredo Maduro scored six goals throughout the Group Stage and leads the way so far in the tournament.

USA is set to carry on with its title defense after topping Group B with six points from a 2-0-1 record. The Stars and Stripes opened with a 2-nil win against Saudi Arabia before falling to Costa Rica. The current champions bounced back to close out the Group Stage with a 2-1 triumph over Canada.

Playoffs

After the group stage, the teams that did not advance to the semifinals were ranked based on their final position in their groups to determine the playoff matches, using the tie break criteria of section 12.6 of the 2025 Concacaf Boys’ Under-15 Championship regulations.

Honduras vs. Saudi Arabia

Honduras faces Saudi Arabia in the first Playoffs match.

Honduras finished third in Group A with nine points and a 3-0-1 record and just missed out on a Semifinals berth due to goal difference. Los Catrachos claimed wins against Panama, Nicaragua and El Salvador, and fell to Mexico.

Saudi Arabia placed third in Group B after collecting four points. The guest competitor in the tournament first fell to USA, prior to a draw against Canada and a 2-nil win against Costa Rica in its final Group Stage fixture.

Canada vs. El Salvador

The second Playoffs match presents Canada against El Salvador.

Canada enters the match after finishing fourth in Group B with one point and a 0-1-2 record. El Salvador, meanwhile, was fourth in Group A with one point and a 0-1-3 record.
