MIAMI – The Leagues Cup 2025 continues on Wednesday with all four matches in the Quarterfinals of the Concacaf-sanctioned competition between MLS and Liga MX clubs, as they battle for the crown and three spots in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.
Eight club remain in the quest for the trophy. Just as in Phase One, Quarterfinals will feature MLS vs. Liga MX matchups.
Inter Miami CF vs. Tigres UANL
Inter Miami CF hosts Tigres UANL at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
Despite Lionel Messi suffering a minor injury in the team’s second Phase One match against Necaxa, Inter Miami finished in second place among the MLS clubs. Newcomer Rodrigo De Paul slotted in perfectly and recorded a goal and two assists.
Another FIFA World Cup winning Argentine co-leads the tournament’s Golden Boot race as Ángel Correa has flourished with four goals for Tigres UANL. Juan Brunetta has been a motor for the Mexican club with a tournament-best three assists.
Toluca FC vs. Orlando City SC
Reigning Liga MX champions Deportivo Toluca FC will clash with Orlando City SC at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, USA.
Toluca earned the top seed on the Liga MX side of the table after going undefeated in Phase One thanks to Paulinho’s four goals. Los Diablos Rojos have no shortage of attacking weapons as Alexis Vega, Jesús Gallardo and Marcel Ruiz have also played a big role.
Orlando City has been in top form with great performances from Martín Ojeda and Luis Muriel, who scored the fastest Leagues Cup hat trick (11 minutes) in a win over Necaxa.
Seattle Sounders vs. Puebla
Seattle Sounders FC will host Club Puebla at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, USA.
The MLS side were the only team in the tournament that won its three Phase One matches in regulation, including a dominant 7-nil victory over 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup winners Cruz Azul. Pedro de la Vega highlighted that performance with a breathtaking volley to complete a brace.
Puebla earned wins over New York City FC and CF Montréal to push them into the Quarterfinals. Emiliano Gómez and Ricardo Marín have combined for three goals and two assists as anchors on offense.
Los Angeles Galaxy vs. CF Pachuca
Reigning MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy will take on CF Pachuca at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, USA.
The Galaxy has struggled in league play this season but went back to vintage form in the tournament, scoring ten goals in three Phase One matches. Alongside dangerous wingers like Joseph Paintsil and Gabriel Pec, Marco Reus and Matheus Nascimento have aided the offense. Mauricio Cuevas was also integral with three assists.
Pachuca tallied seven points in Phase One with a pair of wins and a PK loss. Los Tuzos have relied on the midfield pair of Elías Montiel and Alan Bautista, and striker Jhonder Cádiz.
