Lazio were held 0-0 by Lecce at the Via del Mare, dropping two points after a flat display. Alessio Romagnoli stood out in what was probably his Lazio swansong.

According to The Laziali, the Biancocelesti could have few complaints, their performance rarely troubling Wladimiro Falcone. Ivan Provedel kept a tidy clean sheet, saving from Lassana Coulibaly and positioning well for Riccardo Sottil’s free-kick.

Manuel Lazzari pushed on but lacked the pace to carry attacks. Mario Gila contained Lameck Banda, though his ventures forward carried risk. Romagnoli was assured and even shifted right to accommodate Oliver Provstgaard, while Adam Marusic recovered from a torrid first half.

Toma Basic looked rusty after injury and was shunted around, starting on the right of the front three then operating as a regista. Matias Vecino contributed defensively but was outrun. Kenneth Taylor worked hard and should have finished better late on.

Matteo Cancellieri endured a forgettable outing and saw little of the ball. Boulaye Dia’s touch let him down and he missed a one-on-one with Falcone early in the second half. Mattia Zaccagni created their most dangerous moment but remains short of his best.

From the bench, Provstgaard was booked for a lunge yet looked solid otherwise. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru added physical presence without much quality. Petar Ratkov barely had a touch, and Luca Pellegrini made one important defensive intervention but offered little in attack.
