Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Lee Kang-in (24) has been declared unavailable for their upcoming match against Lorient on Wednesday night. The South Korean playmaker has been struck with illness and has not travelled north with the Les Parisiens squad preparing to face Les Merlus.
Lee was expected to start the match after he impressed in the Ligue 1 champions’ 3-0 victory against Brest, according to L’Équipe. The South Korean international attacking midfielder will be forced to watch his teammates from home as he is ruled out with illness. It remains to be seen how long the midfielder will be ruled out of action for.
PSG have been handed a double fitness boost with Fabián Ruiz and João Neves both returning to first-team training this week as the UEFA Champions League winners prepared for another midweek clash. Fabrice Hawkins understands that the Portuguese international midfielder is expected to start in the 24-year-old’s absence.
