Leeds United and their Premier League rivals have confirmed retained lists, with 24 first-team players now free agents. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, all 20 clubs published their decisions on Wednesday.
Leeds said they would say goodbye to two-time Championship title-winner Illan Meslier, and talks were ongoing with three other first-team players.
Clubs worked to meet a 12pm Wednesday deadline, then the Premier League released a full list covering first-team and youth departures, with notable names from Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.
Leeds could now hold talks with any released players if they wanted to repeat last summer’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin transfer trick.
The 24 include Adam Webster, 31, a centre-back leaving Brighton, Joel Veltman, 34, a full-back leaving Brighton, and Solly March, 31, a winger leaving Brighton. Also listed are Martin Dubravka, 37, a goalkeeper leaving Burnley, Nathaniel Clyne, 35, a full-back leaving Crystal Palace, and Seamus Coleman, 37, a full-back leaving Everton.
