With the window closing next Monday, Leeds United have had a bid rejected for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, and Crystal Palace are also keen. Wolves prefer to keep key players despite a strong relegation risk, so acceptable proposals will decide his future.

According to NY Times, Nottingham Forest have offered £35 million for Jean-Philippe Mateta, but Palace, the FA Cup holders, want a package around £40 million and a replacement lined up. They are assessing options including Strand Larsen and have no concerns about Mateta’s professionalism if he stays.

Andy Robertson’s proposed switch from Liverpool to Tottenham is not progressing because Liverpool are struggling to recall Kostas Tsimikas from his loan at Roma. Roma would let him return only if they secure a satisfactory replacement, likely an emerging talent, and time is tight.

Chelsea are weighing internal and external options at centre-back. Aaron Anselmino has been recalled from his loan at Borussia Dortmund and they hold a similar right on Mamadou Sarr at Strasbourg, while market additions are being considered to bolster Liam Rosenior’s squad.

Fulham are pushing to sign Manchester City attacker Oscar Bobb after a bid was rejected, with talks ongoing. They also saw a proposal for Ricardo Pepi turned down by PSV but remain in pole position, with Genk’s Oh Hyeon-gyu a backup. Pepi’s broken arm has slowed the process.

Juventus are interested in Randal Kolo Muani, on loan at Tottenham, but any return to Turin is only possible if Spurs end their PSG agreement.

Injuries have led Aston Villa to assess loan options in midfield. Youri Tielemans joins Boubacar Kamara, who will miss the rest of the season, and John McGinn, who is out for around eight weeks, on the sidelines. Villa are seriously exploring a move to bring Douglas Luiz back, although any deal depends on their PSR and SCR flexibility.
