Leeds United host Brentford on Sunday as Daniel Farke looks to sustain momentum after a win over Chelsea and a 3-3 draw with Liverpool that lifted them to 16th. According to Leedsunited.news, six players are set to miss out with two more doubtful.

The fixture also revives a supporter rivalry with Keith Andrews, dating back to 2019 and his criticism of Elland Road favourite Pontus Jansson under Marcelo Bielsa. Farke has faced Brentford eight times and lost only once.

Leeds will be without Dan James, whose hamstring issue could sideline him until the end of January, and by then he could be replaced. Midfielder Sean Longstaff is also out with a muscle problem, Sunday would be his fourth missed match, with the timeline unclear. Brentford are missing Josh DaSilva, Fabio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo for the season due to ACL injuries, with Kevin Schade suspended.

For Leeds, striker Lukas Nmecha is the only further doubt after a muscle strain kept him out against Liverpool, he was a late call. The belief is he should be available to face Brentford. Farke’s new 3-5-2 is viewed as working best with Nmecha alongside Calvert-Lewin.

Brentford have one doubt in former Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, who missed the weekend. As with Nmecha, there is a feeling he will be fit to play.
