Leeds United are pursuing a £40m deal for Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, an agreement is close, with add-ons included, personal terms largely settled and final details still to be completed.

If concluded, Trafford would become Leeds’ record signing, surpassing the £35.5m paid for Georginio Rutter in January 2023.
He would also reinforce his status as England’s most expensive goalkeeper, a distinction he already holds after a £31m move to City a year ago.
Such a fee would place the Elland Road target among the costliest goalkeeper transfers worldwide, underlining the club’s ambition.
