Leeds United have confirmed the first of two Elland Road pre-season friendlies. The club said in a statement that Bundesliga side RB Leipzig will visit on Saturday August 8 at 2pm.
Leipzig finished third in the 2025/26 Bundesliga, securing UEFA Champions League qualification. They are a familiar name to Leeds supporters after the legal dispute that followed the ill-fated transfer of Jean-Kevin Augustin.

Leeds expect to confirm a second home friendly for the following weekend.
Ongoing Elland Road development means the West Stand will be closed for both friendlies.
The Whites will also head Stateside this summer to face Sunderland, Wrexham and Liverpool, then make a late summer trip to Dublin to meet bitter rivals Manchester United.
