Leeds United opened talks with AC Milan attacker Noah Okafor last week and discussions continued between both parties over the weekend, according to journalist and transfer insider Ben Jacobs.

Leeds want one more attacking addition as manager Daniel Farke looks to keep the Elland Road club up following promotion.

The Switzerland international is a serious transfer target for the Whites, and talks are expected to continue between Leeds and his camp this week.

They have yet to reach an agreement with Milan, but that is unlikely to be an issue as Okafor is not in their plans.

The 25-year-old Leeds target spent the second half of last season on loan with Napoli, winning the Serie A title with them.

An option of a permanent transfer was included in the deal but Napoli opted against activating it as manager Antonio Conte played him just four times.

The Whites are now looking to bring him to the Premier League as they prepare for life back in the top-flight, and it appears he is open to the move.

Okafor has nothing else to prove in the Italian top-flight having won the title after two seasons, and moving to England has always appealed to plenty of professional footballers.

He will fancy his chances of playing regularly at Leeds given his versatility, quality and experience.

Farke is convinced that the Swiss has what it takes to improve his attack.

The West Yorkshire club kicks off their campaign tonight when they host Everton in their opening Premier League game of 2025-26, and they will be desperate to begin the season with a win.

Leeds have bolstered their attack with the additions of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha so far this summer.

They need more quality options in the final third to boost their survival chances, and signing Okafor will come in handy.
