Leeds United are being linked with former Newcastle and Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly as they assess centre back options.

Italian journalist Marco Conterio reports that Leeds have shown concrete interest and that the centre back could leave Juventus this summer after one season. He adds there is interest from Spain and the Premier League.

Tutto Juve has claimed Kelly is among Unai Emery’s main targets at Aston Villa. Conterio also notes Juventus do not need to sell before 30 June, although they are sounding out the market.

Kelly came through at Bristol City, then joined Bournemouth for a reported £13m in 2019. He played 141 times over five seasons before leaving for Newcastle on a free.

After seven months at St James’ Park, he was loaned, then sold, to Juventus in February 2025. He has played 46 times in Serie A and the Champions League and is under contract until summer 2029, with Juve said to value him at €35m.

Leeds are expected to target centre backs in this window, and there have been separate links between Pascal Struijk and Brighton.
