Leeds United are again targeting Igor Paixao after another impressive season in Europe, a move that could put his Premier League ambition within reach.
Leeds chased the winger last year before he chose a £25.7m switch from Feyenoord to Marseille. According to L'Équipe, Marseille are willing to sell this summer, with reported valuations of about £30m to £42.5m.
"The Premier League is a dream for me. Making it to the national team is another goal. I'm going to work towards that, so I can be at the Olympic Games. And of course, I want to give my family an even better future, be able to help more, and have a well-established career in football."
He told GE Globo three years ago. Paixao did not reach the Olympics after Brazil failed to qualify for 2024, losing 1-0 to Argentina in a qualifier.
After leaving Coritiba in 2022, he delivered 39 goals and 29 assists in 129 matches for Feyenoord, including 18 goals and 19 assists in 47 during his final season. He then posted 12 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances for Marseille.
Daniel Farke has said Leeds remain active in this window, so if the club commit to the Brazilian they could be positioned to act.
