Leeds United have a clutch of first-team shirt numbers open for prospective summer signings to claim.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Harry Wilson is expected to join Daniel Farke’s squad on a free after a deal was agreed. Leeds are also pursuing Shea Charles with bids north of £20million, while there remains hope of persuading free agent Julian Brandt to Elland Road.

Wilson’s No. eight from Fulham is taken at Elland Road by Sean Longstaff, but appealing alternatives are available. No. five has been vacated by Pascal Struijk after his £20million move to Brighton, ending two years with that number. No. twelve was last worn in 2023/24 by Jaidon Anthony and has been unclaimed since.

No. thirteen, often a back-up goalkeeper’s pick, was relinquished by Kristoffer Klaesson in 2024. No. sixteen is free following Illan Meslier’s departure at the end of his contract.

No. seventeen belonged to Largie Ramazani in 2024/25 but is available after his summer loan to Valencia, and although he could reclaim it if he stays, that appears unlikely. No. twenty remains open, with Jack Harrison having worn it before his January loan to Fiorentina and he is unlikely to feature next season.
