Leeds United are exploring fresh moves for Harry Wilson and Julian Brandt, with no signing imminent. According to Leeds Live, both are due to become free agents in 10 days.
Multiple clubs, including Champions League sides, are monitoring the pair. Each is versatile, though last season Brandt played as a number 10 and Wilson on the right.
Leeds plan to target higher-quality additions, with chairman Paraag Marathe even floating one or two moonshot pursuits, which naturally increases competition.
Last summer United often led priority races. Jaka Bijol said yes to a switch and Sebastiaan Bornauw was contacted as early as January, but aiming higher brings fiercer competition.
Wilson agreed terms on deadline day before Fulham pulled the plug. After 10 goals and seven Premier League assists last term, more suitors are in play.
Brandt has been linked with Italian clubs in Europe. While the next two seasons are about stability and steady growth, Leeds intend to operate in this bracket.
Recruitment filters previously centred on top-level experience, character and physical profile. Those first two remain, but Farke may be more flexible on age. Brandt is 30 and Wilson turns 30 next March, yet fee-free deals could offset concerns.
If either arrives they would be the oldest outfield player, unless 32-year-old Sam Byram renews. Next in line is 29-year-old Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a 2025 free agent. A league-high 92.8% of last season’s squad were aged 23-29, underlining the need for extra know-how as Leeds shop upmarket.
