Leeds United welcome West Ham to Elland Road on Friday night, aiming to bounce back immediately after their long unbeaten home run was ended by Tottenham last time out.
Before that defeat, the Whites had gone 23 league games without losing on their own patch, a run stretching back over a year. Daniel Farke’s side have certainly shown plenty of attacking intent this season. In fact, they average 13 shots per game. Their finishing, however, has consistently let them down.
This has resulted in the lowest conversion rate on record for the club. Therefore, finding a clinical edge will be crucial tonight. It is especially important against a struggling West Ham side if they are to secure a vital three points.
Daniel Farke faces potential disruption in defence for this match. Both Ethan Ampadu and Pascal Struijk are doubtful due to illness. Consequently, summer signing Jaka Bijol is on standby. He could make his debut alongside Joe Rodon if needed.
The manager also has issues on the wings. Noah Okafor remains a doubt, while the team have ruled out Willy Gnonto. As a result, Brenden Aaronson and Jack Harrison are expected to support Dominic Calvert-Lewin in attack. Meanwhile, Anton Stach’s midfield creativity has dipped recently. Farke will undoubtedly be hoping for more influence from the German international tonight.
Leeds United predicted XI: Darlow; Bogle, Rodon, Bijol, Gudmundsson; Longstaff, Stach, Gruev; Harrison, Calvert-Lewin, Aaronson.
The Premier League fixture takes place at Elland Road tonight, Friday, 24 October 2025. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:00 pm BST.
Fans in the UK can watch the match live on Sky Sports. Coverage starts ahead of the 8:00 pm BST kick-off.
