Leeds United have packed out Elland Road this Premier League season, with an average crowd of 36,714 underpinning an impressive home return.
According to Transfermarkt, it is the club’s highest average since the 2002/03 campaign.
The Whites have lost only three of their 13 league fixtures at Elland Road since returning to the top flight, taking 22 of their 30 points there. They sit 15th after 26 matches, six points clear of the relegation zone.
That average places Leeds comfortably mid-table for attendances, just behind Aston Villa and Chelsea and ahead of Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Wolves. At the top, Manchester United lead the way with 73,981 at Old Trafford, followed by West Ham United at the London Stadium, with Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City completing the top six.
Elland Road’s capacity is 37,645, leaving a shortfall of 931 that is likely explained by segregation, occasional away-end gaps and some no-shows. If expansion plans are finally confirmed, Leeds are absolutely certain to keep filling a bigger stadium.
