According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds United’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley has pushed their Premier League Matchweek 34 trip to Bournemouth into midweek, handing supporters a long midweek journey.
The Whites were initially scheduled to visit the Cherries on Saturday April 25 at three pm. Their quarter-final win over West Ham United means they will face Chelsea at Wembley that weekend, with the semi-final to be staged on either the Saturday or the Sunday.
The league fixture will now be played on Wednesday April 22, with an eight pm kick-off, and it will be shown live on Sky Sports.
The Premier League has also confirmed midweek slots for the other top-flight semi-finalists, Chelsea and Man City. Regardless of when Leeds’ semi-final falls, their opponents Chelsea will have extra rest, with Liam Rosenior’s side at Brighton 24 hours before Leeds go to Bournemouth.
Man City, drawn to face Championship side Southampton in the other semi-final, are away at Burnley on Wednesday 22 April.
Leeds say further details for the Bournemouth trip, including ticketing information, will be announced in due course.
