Leicester City must make more moves while the Premier League's transfer window remains open. And that is a fact. Relegation is kind of OK if a club has done everything in their power to avoid the dreaded drop down one division. However, it is unacceptable if negligence, ineptitude and nonchalance cause a sports outfit's downfall. LCFC appear to be on that precipice at present.
Why do I say this? Well, the Foxes have only made a single singing during January. Talk about living dangerously on thin ice in a sticky situation. Hello King Power!
I am acutely aware of the Profit and Sustainability hovering or looming over City's head too. Yet that's part of the problem, you see. If an organisation allows itself to be in that kind of mess - something isn't right and need addressing.
To be fair, if reporting on LCFC is accurate the Foxes are attempting to get some decent additions through the door on Filbert Way. Woyo Coulibaly has arrived, and he will get his chance. Versatile full back Tariq Lamptey is another the east Midlands side are supposedly chasing. Brighton & Hove Albion are traditionally tough negotiators, but a deal is said to be had in this case; a bid is expected to be accepted. In the meantime a promising Leicester starlet might now be loaned out. Here are the reports, along with our thoughts.
First of all, Lamptey. I must admit I'd love him at the King Power. His attacking prowess is something lacking from defenders overall this season.
