Leicester have completed a late loan for Manchester City prospect Divine Mukasa until the end of the season, bolstering their attacking options. The move helps cover injuries to Jordan James and Aaron Ramsey.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, the 18-year-old is an England Under-19 international who has been involved with Manchester City’s first team this season.

He made his senior debut in September, teeing up Phil Foden in a Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield, and has since made six appearances under Pep Guardiola.

At Under-21 level this term he has scored seven in 13 outings, and last season’s impressive figures pushed him towards senior contention.

Primarily an attacking midfielder, Mukasa has also operated deeper and has been used up front as a false nine.

He could be viewed as an alternative to Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka, though he is more likely to compete with Bobby De Cordova-Reid for the number 10 role.

Interim boss Andy King confirmed on Saturday that Leicester had tracked him for some time and had pursued the move, adding that the staff rate him highly.
