Sky Sport Germany reports that RB Leipzig expect to hold discussions in the coming weeks on the futures of Xaver Schlager and Peter Gulácsi, whose contracts run out in the summer.
For Schlager, indications increasingly point to a free exit. Despite earlier talks, there is growing internal belief that an extension is highly unlikely at this stage, with Juventus and Roma cited among potential options.
Gulácsi’s situation appears more open. Leipzig would like to keep the experienced Hungarian goalkeeper if he accepts a lower salary and a reduced role. Recent discussions are said to have been constructive, with optimism that a deal could still be struck with the 35-year-old.
Schlager joined Leipzig in 2022 and has made 16 Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring two.
Gulácsi has been at the club since 2015, tallying 280 appearances in all competitions, including 20 in the league this campaign.
