Corinthians goalkeeper Lelê reassured supporters after a head clash in the Supercopa Feminina final against Palmeiras on Saturday, having been replaced in the first half following on-field treatment.

The player said in a post that she is well after the blow, is already recovering and is following medical guidance, and she thanked fans for their messages and concern.

The incident came on 16 minutes during a swift Palmeiras attack, when Bia Zaneratto contested a loose ball and her knee struck the keeper’s head. Lelê was withdrawn under concussion protocol, with Nicole Ramos coming on.

She will be kept out of training for five days to allow full recovery. The club must also submit detailed tests showing no symptoms and a medical report on treatment. She left the stadium walking unaided.

As a result, Lelê may not be available to Lucas Piccinato for Friday’s match against Atlético-MG at Arena MRV, the Campeonato Brasileiro opener. If she is not available, Nicole is likely to start.

This is not the first such case for the Corinthians women. In 2024, Vic Albuquerque suffered a concussion in the Libertadores and missed the first phase, while Letícia Teles and Letícia Monteiro were out during the 2025 Copa do Brasil.
