RC Lens could be about to hijack Toulouse FC’s move for Saud Abdulhamid (26), according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Saudi Arabia international Abdulhamid had looked on course to join Toulouse this summer. His club, AS Roma, have been looking to bring in players before sanctioning Abulhamid’s departure. With Wesley joining the Serie A giants, Abdulhamid’s move looked set to be completed.

However, as reported by L’Équipe, a move to Le TéFéCé looks increasingly unlikely, despite the Ligue 1 side’s attempts to get a deal over the line. It is RC Lens, who also have a long-standing interest in the defender, who are increasing their attempts to sign the player.

The Saudi Arabia international has become more of a target for Les Sang et Or since it was decided that a move to bring back Przemyslaw Frankowski from Galatasaray would be too expensive to pull off. The Poland international only left Lens to join Galatasaray in the winter transfer window.
