Flamengo defender Léo Ortiz has sustained a right hamstring injury confirmed by scans after the 3-0 win over Coritiba at the Maracanã.
According to Globo.com, tests on Saturday night showed a contusion in the back of his right leg, initially graded as a mild, grade-one injury, with an estimated recovery of about a week. He has postponed the start of his holiday until the eighth to stay with the club.
The centre-back was substituted after coming off worse in a challenge on 15 minutes of the first half in the Brasileirão fixture.
Subsequent imaging identified a small muscle lesion in the posterior of his right thigh, and he has begun work with the medical staff. He will continue treatment during the World Cup break.
The rest of the squad, excluding those on international duty, will take holiday from Monday until the 19th. They will report back to the training centre before travelling to Portugal for a mid-season camp.
