Letícia Monteiro strikes as Corinthians extend perfect opening-day run at Atlético-MG | OneFootball

Corinthians opened the Brasileiro Feminino with a 1-0 win at Atlético-MG on Friday night, Letícia Monteiro scoring at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte. The result delivered the first three points of their campaign.

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians relaunched their women's side in 2016. Since then, they have won all 11 opening fixtures in the competition, five at home and six away.

Across those openers they have scored 48 and conceded seven. That equates to an average close to five per game, with 0.6 against.

The first of those came on 27 January 2016, when the then Corinthians-Audax beat Rio Preto 2-1 at Estádio José Liberatti, with Byanca and Fran on target. The biggest win arrived on 25 February 2023, a 14-0 demolition of Ceará at Estádio Nogueirão in Mogi das Cruzes, which launched another title-winning campaign.

Corinthians are chasing an eighth national crown this season, having lifted the trophy in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. They host Fluminense at Neo Química Arena next Friday at 21:30.
