Palmeiras are seeded in Pot 1 alongside Flamengo, Fluminense, Boca Juniors of Argentina, Peñarol and Nacional of Uruguay, plus LDU and Independiente Del Valle of Ecuador.

Pot 3 features Junior Barranquilla of Colombia, Universidad Católica of Chile, Rosario Central of Argentina, Santa Fe of Colombia, Always Ready of Bolivia, Coquimbo Unido of Chile, La Guaira of Venezuela and Cusco of Peru.

Pot 4 includes Mirassol, Universidad Central of Venezuela, Platense and Independiente Rivadavia of Argentina, Independiente Medellín*, Tolima* of Colombia, Sporting Cristal* of Peru and Barcelona de Guayaquil* of Ecuador.
