Espérance Sportive de Tunis has released a statement regarding the condition of its squad. The Blood and Gold club announced injuries to three players, ruling them out of upcoming fixtures.

The sidelined players are Yassine Meriah and Mohamed Amine Tougaï, both of whom returned injured after taking part in AFCON 2025 with Tunisia and Algeria, respectively. The third injured player is Koussay Maacha.

"The absence of our players Yassine Meriah and Mohamed Amine Tougaï continues, following the muscle injuries they sustained during their international duty with the Tunisian and Algerian national teams," the statement reads.

"They have not yet fully recovered, which has required additional rest and treatment. Both players will undergo the necessary medical imaging in two weeks to assess the progress of their recovery," added the Tunisian league leaders.

The Beb Souika club also stated: "The same applies to our player Kossay Maâcha, who also suffered a muscle injury a week ago during team training. He will begin his physical rehabilitation phase starting next week."
