With the 2025-26 Ligue 1 season – which saw Paris Saint-Germain crowned champions for the 14th time in their history and FC Nantes and FC Metz relegated to the second tier of French football – having only just come to an end, the time to turn the page on its successor is already drawing near.
But first, the 18 clubs must reshape their squads, both in terms of new signings and departures. A renewal that each of its members will have the opportunity to undertake throughout the upcoming summer transfer window, the opening and closing dates of which have already been announced by the Professional Football League (LFP).
The latter will therefore open on Monday 15th June, before closing more than two months later, on Tuesday 1st September at 7:59 p.m. Its winter iteration, meanwhile, will begin on Friday 1st January 2027 and end on Monday 1st February 2027, again at 7:59 p.m.
