Lille interested in Feyenoord’s Gjivai Zechiel | OneFootball

Lille OSC are interested in Feyenoord midfielder Gjivai Zechiel (22), according to a report from L’Équipe. 

LOSC are making moves in the market, having found their successor to Bruno Genesio. Despite leading the club to the UEFA Champions League last season, Genesio departed at the end of the season, upon the expiry of his contract. 

He was replaced by Davide Ancelotti, who, prior to his arrival on Tuesday, was nonetheless committed to the Brazil national team. However, with the Selecao now out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Ancelotti has now travelled to France and is getting down to work.

Basar Onal’s move to the club is expected to be confirmed imminently. He is set to join from NEC Nijmegen. And LOSC continue to look to the Netherlands as they continue their transfer dealings. L’Équipe understands that there is also interest in Zechiel, who spent last season on loan at Utrecht, where he scored 10 goals and delivered 10 assists in 50 games in all competitions.

He has now returned to parent club Feyenoord, who are demanding a significant fee, which may complicate any potential deal.
