Lille predicted XI v Marseille: Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Hákon Haraldsson return as Olivier Giroud benched | OneFootball

Lille OSC’s European adventure came to a disappointing conclusion on Thursday as they limped out of the UEFA Europa League in a 2-0 defeat away to Aston Villa. Bruno Génésio’s side will be on the road once more as they travel south to face Olympique de Marseille. 

Génésio is expected to field a much-changed side from Thursday, with the head coach likely to return to a back four after utilising a back five. Romain Perraud, Alexsandro, Chancel Mbemba, and Thomas Meunier will likely be benched, with Calvin Verdonk, Aïssa Mandi, and Tiago Santos coming in. 

After impressing last weekend in the win over Stade Rennais, it was a surprise that neither Matias Fernandez-Pardo nor Hákon Arnar Haraldsson started against Villa. However, both are expected to start this afternoon with Olivier Giroud returning to the bench.
