Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi says ‘there will be a choice to be made’ about his future next summer

Ayyoub Bouaddi’s (18) future at Lille OSC was the subject of intense discussion last week. The France youth international was strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and then later to Arsenal and Chelsea, as per a report from RMC Sport.

However, that talk then dampened when, just as those reports emerged, Bouaddi signed a contract extension with his formative club, which will tie him to the club until 2029. But it is thought that it is simply a move to avoid losing Bouaddi on the cheap; his old deal had been set to expire in 2027.

A €50m price tag for Bouaddi?

It is thought that the young midfielder could be available come the end of the season, amid significant Premier League interest. A fee of around €50m has been touted by RMC Sport.

The player himself has now addressed his future at Lille in an interview with L’Équipe“I have extended until 2029 and next year is still far away. I am focused on this season and we have things to fight for. As I also said to the president (Olivier Létang), at the end of the season, there will be a choice to be made, and anything can happen. We don’t know what will happen,” said the young LOSC midfielder.
