Tottenham Hotspur star Djed Spence was one of the best players on the pitch last night when England took on Argentina in the World Cup semi-final.
The Spurs star could not stop the Three Lions from suffering a 2-1 defeat, but he held his own against Lionel Messi and others.
It appears the Argentine legend was impressed with Spence, handing him his jersey after the game.
The sister of the Tottenham defender took to Instagram to share a story showing Messi’s shirt with the England international.
Spence will now focus on the third-place play-off against France on Saturday.
He will spend the next three weeks on holiday afterwards before linking up with Roberto De Zerbi and the rest of his teammates.
The defender could be plying his trade elsewhere next season, with Inter Milan one of the clubs keen on recruiting his services.
He has also been linked with Everton and more suitors will emerge following his impressive performances at the World Cup.
The North London club are clearing out their squad as part of a huge rebuild under De Zerbi.
The 25-year-old featured in 44 games across all competitions for the Lilywhites last term and might have made his last appearance for them.
The likes of Guglielmo Vicario, Richarlison, Cristian Romero, Mikey Moore, Lucas Bergvall, Will Lankshear, Ashley Phillips and Souza could also be on their way out of the club.
