Kylian Mbappé has struggled in his first months with Real Madrid after joining as a free agent this past summer from Paris Saint-Germain. However, one player opened up about what he sees from the Frenchman amid his struggling form.

Although he has scored eight goals and notched two assists in 16 appearances, the former Paris Saint-Germain star is still searching for consistency.

His El Clásico debut proved challenging, as Real Madrid suffered a heavy 4-0 loss to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26. The difficulties continued into the following week, with a 3-1 defeat to AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League.

After two tough losses, Real Madrid bounced back with a commanding 4-0 victory over CA Osasuna on Saturday. Vinicius Junior shone with a hat trick, and Jude Bellingham added another goal, but the Frenchman struggled to make an impact on the match.

In an interview with Canal Football Club, Ibrahima Konaté opened up about possible differences between Kylian Mbappé with PSG and Real Madrid.

“Has Mbappé changed since his transfer to Real Madrid? He’s the same as before, as I’ve always known him,” Konaté said (h/t Le10Sport). “Nothing has changed. He still has the same joy for life, that drive in training to score, dribble, and do what he does best. Day to day, I don’t see any difference, even if I’m not with him every day.

“Was it too much for him mentally? It’s possible, but that’s just my opinion. Now, if he feels it deep down, it’s up to him to discuss it with people, to talk about it, but beyond that, I have no idea. Only he knows what he’s feeling deep inside.”
