In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Liverpool are eyeing a move for Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen. It is understood that the Reds are planning to move in for the Spanish centre-back in this summer transfer window.

Huijsen’s Impressive Form In La Liga

The 21-year-old had an impressive campaign at the Madrid club after putting in a string of solid performances at the heart of their backline. Huijsen made 40 appearances for Real Madrid last season, scoring two goals and grabbing two assists on all fronts.

The Spanish talent is currently one of the best young centre-backs in European football. Hence, it is no surprise that the Reds are hoping to sign him this summer.

Huijsen’s current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will run out in the summer of 2030. Thus, Liverpool have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about signing him this off-season.

Will Huijsen Be A Good Choice For Liverpool?

Huijsen loves a tackle and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is even proficient at playing his way out from the back.

Standing at 1.97m, the Spanish sensation can use his strong frame to win a few important aerial duels for his team and doesn’t hesitate to put his body on the line to block a goal-bound shot. He already knows the Premier League well from his time at Bournemouth and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Liverpool.

We can expect Huijsen to enhance the quality of the Merseyside club’s backline. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at Anfield next season. Furthermore, the Spaniard could serve as an ideal replacement for Ibrahima Konate at the Merseyside club.

At 21, Huijsen has got the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday, which makes him a good choice for the Reds to consider this summer. The Spaniard will also help Liverpool challenge for some major honours over the next decade. Therefore, the Reds should focus on going all out to bring him to Anfield in this summer transfer window.
