In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Liverpool are keeping tabs on Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Mateus Mane as they look to strengthen their squad for the long run. It is believed that the Reds would have to rival Manchester United in the race to land the English attacker next summer.

Mane’s Impressive Rise In English Football

Mane has come through the youth ranks of Wolves and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their senior team. The English talent has already made 17 appearances for the West Midlands club this season, scoring two goals and picking up two assists in the process on all fronts.

The 18-year-old is currently among the best young attacking midfielders in English football. Thus, it is no surprise that the Reds are showing interest in recruiting him this year.

His current deal at the Molineux Stadium will expire in the summer of 2029, which would make it tough for the Reds to sign him on the cheap at the end of this campaign.

Liverpool Are Keeping Tabs On Mane: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Mane has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.

The English sensation is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. Mane mainly functions in the number ten position but can also serve as a centre-forward or as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Merseyside club.

We can expect Mane to enhance the quality of Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s frontline in the long run. He is already good enough to serve as a good, rotational piece in the Merseyside club’s squad.

At 18, Mane has got the potential to be a future star in English football. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so the Reds would do well to lure him to Anfield at the end of this season.
