In a recent post on X, journalist Sebastien Vidal stated that Liverpool are stepping up their efforts to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. It has been mentioned that the Reds are ready to make a £85m bid to convince the French club to part ways with their prized asset this summer.

Barcola’s Excellent Numbers In Ligue 1

Barcola enjoyed a productive campaign at PSG recently as he put in a handful of impressive performances for them in the final third. The 23-year-old found the back of the net 13 times and earned seven assists in 49 matches for the French outfit last season in all competitions.

The France international is currently one of the most feared wingers in Ligue 1. Therefore, the Reds would do well to get a deal done for him later this year.

His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Liverpool to sign him on the cheap in this transfer window.

What Will Barcola Bring To Liverpool?

Barcola has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out on the flanks. He is a great dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent’s penalty area.

The French wing wizard can even shoot the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating a lot of crucial goals for his team. Barcola mainly functions as a left-sided wide player but can also operate as a right-winger or as a centre-forward if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Reds manage to snap him up later this year.

We can expect Barcola to bring a lot of firepower to Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola’s frontline. He is good enough to serve as an ideal replacement for Mohamed Salah at the Merseyside club.
