We don't need to tell you just how good Adam Wharton is.
Sam McGuire already has in this brilliant piece here. But to summarise it and put it simply, Wharton could be the missing piece in the Liverpool jigsaw.

The piece that could be part of the process of replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold's creative output in the aggregate. Another part of that puzzle will involve bringing in Jeremie Frimpong and potentially an even more outrageous move for Florian Wirtz.
Regardless, Liverpool definitely want to sign a no.10 in the mould of Wirtz and there is the possibility of a left-back arriving at the club this summer with Milos Kerkez highly regarded, and the club having done a lot of work on convincing him to join the Reds since November as Anfield Watch exclusively revealed.
At first glance, if Liverpool want to sign Kerkez, Frimpong and Wirtz, bringing in Wharton could prove financially impossible.
But not necessarily. Liverpool's finances are in good order. They are in a healthy position when it comes to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Frimpong and Wirtz could cost around £155m, meanwhile Kerkez is expected to have a £45m price tag. That's £200m on three players already.
But Liverpool are expected to recoup a lot of that money in sales. Darwin Nunez is expected to fetch in the excess of £70m. Anfield Watch understands, Liverpool value him closer to £80m-90m.
Other players will leave, too. Harvey Elliott is up for sale and is valued at £40m. Federico Chiesa could be sold for a profit with his value around £15m. Caoimhin Kelleher is almost certain to be on the move as well and could be sold for around £20m.
Selling the quartet would put Liverpool's total sales at around £155m. This is before we mention Kostas Tsimikas, who is also expected to be sold for more than £10m if Kerkez is signed.
Fringe players like Tyler Morton and Wataru Endo may also be up for sale. The former is valued at an excess of £20m, having established himself as an England U21 international.
So with all those sales, Liverpool could be looking at pretty much close to that £200m figure and that is why the club still has a chance at signing Wharton, even if Wirtz, Frimpong and Kerkez all arrive.
Especially after the latest update.
Previously, Wharton had been quoted at around £100m, which was a ridiculous fee for a player of his quality and ilk.
But things have changed. According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace now value Wharton at £60m with Liverpool 'monitoring' the situation.
And it's no surprise because at £60m this is a very doable deal for Liverpool. Especially because Liverpool have an asset who could sweeten this deal, too.
Ben Doak was the subject of a £20m bid from Crystal Palace in the January transfer window. Liverpool rejected those advances because they value him at £30m.
Using Doak as part of the deal could potentially slash Wharton's transfer fee in half, bringing him to the club at an unreal £30m fee.
Obviously, Liverpool would be losing a talented player in Doak, but the reality is with Frimpong coming in, minutes would have been limited for the Scotsman at Anfield anyway.
He is a sacrifice Liverpool should be willing to make, landing Wharton in return is worth it. The prospect of him playing in a team alongside Wirtz, Frimpong, Kerkez and the likes of Salah Gravenberch and Gakpo is mouthwatering.
