Arne Slot and his Liverpool squad have endured a nightmare sequence of fixtures.
Defeats have come against Crystal Palace and Chelsea in the Premier League - with a midweek reverse in the Champions League against Galatasaray in between.
For the first time as the Reds’ head coach, Slot has lost three games in succession and the international break has come at the right time.
The Premier League champions are back in action on October 19 when they go to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
And right now Slot will have to take stock and ensure he has a winning formula when the games return.

What he doesn’t need is any more injury trouble - with Ibrahima Konate suffering a quad injury against Chelsea before jetting off with France on international duty.
But unfortunately for Slot it’s emerged that ANOTHER player who featured in West London at the weekend has suffered an injury.
Liverpool have now confirmed that Endo, 32, has withdrawn from international duty for the games upcoming - and Slot will no doubt be hoping he recovers by the time the United game rolls around.
“Wataru Endo has withdrawn from the Japan squad for their fixtures during the October international window,” a report reads.
“The Liverpool midfielder had been selected by his country to participate in Kirin Challenge Cup matches against Paraguay and Brazil.
“However, the Japan FA announced on Monday that Endo will not be involved, citing an injury.”
