As Mohamed Salah has already flown out to join Egypt in preparation for AFCON 2025, Jamie Carragher has sent him a warning—specifically regarding the player's future at Liverpool.
On Monday night, Jamie Carragher made an appeal to Mohamed Salah live on Sky Sports during Monday Night Football. The former defender does not want the Egyptian to leave Liverpool and believes Salah would later regret such a decision.
"I don't see Salah playing for Liverpool next season. What matters most to me is how he wants to finish this year. If he's thinking about a transfer, I advise him to think twice," began the former England international. This tone is a stark contrast to Carragher's comments just a few days ago. Last Thursday, he had stated it was "time to go" for Salah, following the Egyptian's negative remarks about the club and manager Arne Slot.
For the former England international with 38 caps, the Egyptian needs to quickly ease tensions with Slot: "Put aside your issues with the manager for a few months. The worst that can happen is a grand farewell. The best? Salah lines up with his Liverpool teammates in the Champions League final in Budapest. If he were in Saudi Arabia, he'd regret it bitterly."
