Liverpool make contact with entourage of £43m star, it's their second meeting

Liverpool are setting themselves up to have another busy summer transfer window.

It's been made more than clear throughout the 2025-26 season that reinforcement is needed across the board.

And, unless Liverpool manage to add another three or four players to their ranks, they could find themselves in an even worse position than they currently find themselves in.

Several players have already been linked with an Anfield switch and now, it seems like Richard Hughes and Arne Slot are already getting some plans in motion.

Liverpool have made fresh contact with Eduardo Camavinga's entourage

With all the rumours that have emerged over the last couple of months, it feels like Liverpool's midfield is going to be a major area of focus.

Although the Reds' midfield has the most depth among the entire squad, it's clear that some fresh ideas need to be brought into it if they want to get back to their best.

This is why it's hardly surprising to hear that Liverpool have got in contact with Eduardo Camavinga's entourage.

That is, according to an update from Caught Offside about the midfielder's current situation.

"I’m told that Liverpool have had fresh contacts with those close to Camavinga, as have Chelsea," they wrote.

"This follows the recent update from Matteo Moretto that Real Madrid were in fact ready to listen to offers for Camavinga this summer, possibly for as little as €50 million (£43 million).

"For now, it looks like the strongest interest is coming from Liverpool, who have been keen on Camavinga for some time.

"The 23-year-old has been discussed internally at LFC, and they’ve now also had two separate meetings with the player’s entourage."

Alexis Mac Allister's time with Liverpool could be coming to an end

Although Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister have been Liverpool's defensive midfielders for most of the 2025-26 season, it's clear that the duo are still lacking something to take them to that next level.

And, seeing as though the former of the two has just extended his contract, it feels like this could be the end of the road for Mac Allister.

Over the last few years, the Argentinian has improved his performances massively but, with teams such as Real Madrid vying for his transfer, his value may never get any higher than this.

And, even though Slot will want to keep as many of his players as possible, if they want to take things up a gear or two, some marquee signings such as Camavinga need to be made.

Indeed, the Frenchman could be used at left-back if needed but, since other full-backs such as Antonee Robinson are being linked with an Anfield switch, it feels unlikely that the former Rennes ace would be used there.

Losing Mac Allister would obviously be a massive blow, but, if they could replace him with someone such as Camavinga, it could be the best thing to happen to Liverpool.
