Liverpool secured all three points in their first UEFA Champions League outing under Arne Slot on Tuesday, but that wasn't the only European game the Reds were present at.

However, the Reds were also busy at other Champions League encounters too.

The talent across the continent is nothing short of exceptional and Liverpool have used the beginning of the newly-formatted Champions League to identify potential targets for the coming transfer windows.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool were in attendance at Paris St Germain's game against Girona with the Reds interested in two players from the Spanish side.

Midfielder Viktor Tsygankov and defender Miguel Gutierrez are said to have caught they eyes of Slot.

The duo have also attracted interest from Aston Villa and Arsenal with Liverpool's scouts said to be in good company at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

The report suggests Girona are willing to sell if an acceptable offer arrives.

Gutierrez shone in the French capital

Though Girona fell to a 1-0 defeat on their Champions League debut, Gutierrez' performance has received a huge amount of praise and will have escalated interest from the Premier League clubs, with Ukrainian winger Tsygankov was relatively subdued against PSG.

As per Sofascore, the 23-year-old won four of his five duels (80%), completed three tackles, made three clearances, completed 78% of his passes, executed one key pass and found a teammate with three of his five attempted long balls.

Gutierrez demonstrated his impressive skill set on Wednesday night with and without the ball, showing signs of why he could be a suitable successor for Andy Robertson.

The Scotsman, whose contracted until 2026, remains a mainstay in Liverpool's side and has been a legendary figure of the successes achieved under Jurgen Klopp.

But everyone's time comes eventually, and it seems the Reds want to prepare well in advance for departures of their biggest stars.
