Liverpool could be preparing a blockbuster move for Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni as they look to rebuild their defence ahead of next season.

According to CaughtOffside, the Premier League giants have set their sights on the Inter Milan centre-back as a replacement for Ibrahima Konaté.

The Frenchman is expected to leave Anfield at the end of the campaign when his contract expires.

The report claims that Liverpool are willing to spend around €100 million to secure Bastoni.

The Italian’s current contract with Inter runs until June 2028.

The Italian international is valued at roughly €80 million by Transfermarkt.

However, the Reds appear ready to go beyond that figure to convince the Nerazzurri.

The Inter star remains one of Serie A’s most complete defenders.

Furthermore, he has traits that make him particularly attractive for Liverpool’s style under Arne Slot.

After spending over half a billion euros in the last transfer window, the Merseyside club show no signs of slowing down.

Inter, however, are under no pressure to sell and will likely resist any approach unless the offer proves truly irresistible.
