According to Fichajes, Liverpool are willing to submit a bid of €50m to secure the services of Aurélien Tchouaméni (24) from Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
The La Liga outfit are prepared to part ways with the France vice-captain as long as they receive the right fee. Liverpool have been long admirers of the former Monaco midfielder and contested with the Champions League winners to secure his signature in 2022 before eventually losing the race.
Tchouaméni has played in multiple positions for the Spanish capital club but would most likely satisfy Arne Slot’s desires for a specialist defensive midfielder. Whilst the Premier League club would be willing to submit an offer in the region of €50m, it is considered that this is below the club’s asking price for the France international. Sacha Tavolieri reports that Madrid are set to command a fee of €60m for the 24-year-old and have already identified potential replacements.
