Liverpool are set to submit an opening offer to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.

Andoni Iraola's side are readying a proposal worth around £100m for the France international, who is keen to leave PSG and make the move to Merseyside.

Barcola has become Liverpool's top target to reinforce a frontline that has lost Mohamed Salah this summer, while Hugo Ekitike remains a long-term absentee with an Achilles issue.

The 23-year-old has helped PSG to successive Ligue 1 andChampions League titles over the last two seasons, scoring 34 goals in 105 games, though is keen to depart for a more prominent role, amid competition from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, and Ousmane Dembele.

PSG value Barcola at £145m, thoughThe Athletic are reporting that Liverpool have no intention of going that high.

Liverpool believe a deal can be done for around £100m for the winger, who has informed the European champions that he wants to leave and will not sign a new deal. Barcola has two years to run on his contract at the Parc des Princes.

Should a deal be done, it would be the third £100m+ signing that Liverpool have made since last summer, following deals for Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.

Liverpool could free funds and squad space for Barcola's arrival by selling Cody Gakpo. Tottenham Hotspur have made an approach for the Netherlands international, with discussions over a deal worth around £72m.
