In a recent report, Tuttosport mentioned that Liverpool are among the clubs hoping to sign Juventus talent Kenan Yildiz. It has been claimed that the Reds would have to rival Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid in the race to land the Turkish wide player.

Yildiz’s Impressive Form In Italian Football

The 20-year-old is having an impressive campaign in Serie A after he produced a series of impressive displays for Juventus in the final third. Yildiz has registered six goals and earned six assists in 22 matches for the Turin outfit this season across multiple competitions.

The Turkish sensation has given a good account of himself on the left wing as he is averaging 2.56 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. He has kept 39.5% of his attempts on target. Yildiz has even distributed the ball relatively well after completing 77.5% of his attempted passes in the Italian top tier (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at Juventus will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, it won’t be easy for Liverpool to get a deal done for Yildiz next year.

Is Yildiz A Good Choice For Liverpool Boss Arne Slot?

Yildiz is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

Standing at 1.87m, the Turkish talent is a strong presence in the air as well. Yildiz can even contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas. He is primarily a left-winger but can also function as a right-sided wide player or as a striker if needed.

We can expect Yildiz to bring more firepower to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming seasons.

At 20, the future looks quite promising for Yildiz as long as he continues to improve with each year. He would be a great choice for the Reds to consider this January or at the end of this campaign. However, it remains to be seen whether Yildiz can maintain his good form in the Premier League.
