Liverpool set to do everything to land Barcola, they could lodge a bid soon | OneFootball

Liverpool are now set to push for Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola as they search for attacking reinforcement, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Reds are poised to miss out on Yan Diomande, prompting them to shift their focus to the French international winger. They could soon lodge a bid.

Liverpool need a replacement for Mohamed Salah on the right. Barcola is not a like-for-like replacement, but he did break out playing on that flank.

Barcola tallied 13 goals and seven assists in 47 appearances across all competitions last season.

He would be competing with Rio Ngumoha, Victor Munoz, Federico Chiesa and Cody Gakpo for playing time if he joined Liverpool.

He will back himself to get a starting berth on the left or right side of manager Andoni Iraola’s attack. The ‘very fast‘ winger has the tools to shine in English football.

Liverpool are also chasing Maghnes Akliouche. However, it appears that he will join PSG.

The Reds are hoping to strengthen other areas of their squad this summer.

A specialist holding midfielder is a glaring need. Another right-back should be high on the agenda to provide quality and depth.

An additional centre-back would not go amiss either as Liverpool look to equip Iraola with a squad capable of challenging on every front.
