Two Liverpool stars will clash in a massive Copa America 2024 fixture this weekend. Who’s heading to the semi-finals?
Copa America 2024 is officially into the knockout stages and we're immediately getting a massive clash between two Liverpool players. Brazil will take on Uruguay in the quarter-finals - two of the tournament favourites.
That means Alisson Becker trying to keep out fellow Red Darwin Nunez. Not exactly a routine task right now.

Nunez didn't score in Uruguay's latest fixture against the USA but that was the first time he failed to net in eight attempts. His record prior to that game was seven games, 10 goals - with at least one strike in each.
He's the most in-form striker in international football right now, without question, while Alisson has had his critics. The Brazilian hasn't been firing on all cylinders between the sticks and while he's had some extraordinary moments, the consistency hasn't quite been there.
Globo, for instance, gave Alisson a 5/10 for his display against Colombia. That was mostly down to him gifting the ball to Luis Diaz for a chance - though, he did save from his club teammate.
A massive game coming up, then. The best goalkeeper in the world, certainly in our minds, up against the most in-form striker at the international level right now.
Both are Reds, but only one can take a giant step towards the Copa America trophy this weekend.
There are two more Liverpool players at Copa America, of course. Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister are representing Colombia and Argentina respectively, and both are into the quarter-finals.
Colombia take on surprise quarter-finalists Panama, who knocked out the USA in the group stage. Tournament favourites Argentina will face Ecuador.
And if Diaz and Colombia win, we'll get another Liverpool vs Liverpool clash. They're set to face the winners of Brazil vs Uruguay, while Argentina find themselves on the other side of the draw.
