Marc Brus of Caught Offside has reported that Liverpool are back in the race to sign the versatile Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich in the summer transfer window. The player himself wants to move to a big Premier League club, but the main question remains whether the Reds can complete the deal successfully.
Kimmich is one of the best midfielders in the world and can also play as a right-back. He is renowned for his versatility, playing seamlessly as a right-back or in midfield for Bayern Munich. His exceptional football intelligence allows him to read the game, making him pivotal in both defense and attack. Kimmich is celebrated for his pinpoint passing accuracy and set-piece mastery, often dictating the game’s pace. His leadership qualities are evident, as he often dons the captain’s armband. Therefore, he can go on to be a sensational signing for any club that goes on to sign him.
The Reds are in need of a quality defensive midfielder who can also dictate the play in the middle with his creativity and flair. Kimmich will be the best man to do so, and hence Liverpool will benefit greatly from his services. However, they do face competition from their rivals Manchester City for his signature.

The player is already in the final six months of his contract. Hence, signing a player of the quality of Kimmich for free in the summer could be gold dust for Liverpool. Kimmich will also not mind playing for a big club like Liverpool, who are leading the Premier League table currently. Therefore, he will be bringing all his experience and quality with him to Anfield.
