Crystal Palace 2-1 Liverpool - 27th September 2025

When Liverpool arrived atCrystal Palace in late September, the picture could hardly have been rosier. The Reds had recorded five consecutive wins to open the campaign to lead the standings and raise confidence of back-to-back titles.

Their season started to come undone at Selhurst Park, with a late, late goal condemning the visitors to defeat.

Federico Chiesa's 87th-minute equaliser looked to have rescued the Reds a point after Ismaila Sarr's early opener, only for Eddie Nketiah's goal, deep into stoppage time, to end the visitors' unbeaten start to the season.

Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool - 4th October 2025

There was a sense of déjà vu for Liverpool just a week later. Cody Gakpo had brought Liverpool level after Moises Caicedo's cracker to open the scoring, but there was late drama again asEstevao erupted Stamford Bridge with a 95th-minute decider.

It was a third consecutive defeat in all competitions for Liverpool, after a midweekChampions League loss at Galatasaray.

Bournemouth 3-2 Liverpool - 24th January 2026

After a torrid autumn, Liverpool got back on track with a 13-game unbeaten run prior to January's trip toBournemouth. Their South Coast clash followed a familiar theme, however, as Liverpool looked to have rescued a result before collapsing late on.

The Reds recovered from two goals down, as goals from Virgil van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai wiped out Bournemouth's buffer. Amine Adli delivered the late sting in the tail, firing home a winner after a goal-mouth scramble five minutes into stoppage time.

Liverpool 1-2 Manchester City - 8th February 2026

Manchester City fought back to end their Anfield hoodoo in February, as late goals from Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland helped the visitors to three points.

Liverpool led when Dominik Szoboszlai slammed home a free-kick from distance, before Bernardo's equaliser set up a grandstand finish. In a chaotic conclusion, Alisson bundled over Matheus Nunes to concede a 93rd-minute penalty and Haaland kept his cool to convert.

There was still time for an incredible Gianluigi Donnarumma save from Alexis Mac Allister, a disallowed Rayan Cherki effort, and Szoboszlai red card. Absolute theatre.

Wolves 2-1 Liverpool - 3rd March 2026

Liverpool set a new record for late losses after crashing at Wolves in midweek. Hopes of Champions League qualification were dealt a blow after losing to a Wolves side rooted to the bottom of the table.

An uneventful game burst into life late on, as Rodrigo Gomes and Mohamed Salah swapped goals. Andre's effort then took a huge deflection off Joe Gomez for Wolves' winner, on a night to forget for the champions.
